I think the U.S and the U.K. should join up and kick the euro scumbags heads in like we have done in the far east...It will be a sad sad day if our government joins europe properly...I for one will be moving to the U.S. if that ever happens..
most countrys in mainland euro will stab you in the back for no reason, just look at WW2..ENGLISH AND PROUD..
Dont confuse the U.K. with europe, we are not like them as you have learned in the last couple of years, we stand strong and steadfast.
We would like nothing better than to see U.S. hooligans over here fighting shoulder to shoulder with us in international games.

The US celebrates Independence Day every year. It commemerates the day that the US dumped (and thumped) England. The US is proud to have removed the English yoke! Cool

I played baseball, basketball, and football in high school.

I like soccer.

The main problem for soccer in the US is that there are 3 other major sports that fill up the entire year.

More kids play soccer than any other sport here, but it seems that the kids don't have any interest in watching it on TV. My daughter, for example, played from 8 to about 15 very competitively. She never was interested in watching. When I was watching Croatia-France in 02, she'd watch for 5 minutes, then go find something else to do.

Maybe it's the marketing here, I don't know. Somebody needs to find a way to translate all of the kid interest into adult interest.

the us isn't into soccer because they didn't invent it. its sad really, because its the best sport in the world. and noone has to agree its a fact. it is the #1 sport in almost every other country other than the US. its sad the US people cant join the rest of the world. i love baseball very m uch though, but there no way in hell ill give up watching a cup game over a baseball game

Or maybe World Cup soccer is dead in the US because the US is dead in World Cup soccer. 3-0 to the Czech Republic, and we played like dead men not walking...

Couldn't it be, quite plainly, that soccer is not so popular because it's the only team sport that doesn't allow commercials for as long as 45 min? In a country so vastly colonizes by corporations this is not a plus.
