Looking ahead: South Africa 2010 Quote | Reply

I'm a South African and very proud that my country will be hosting the next WC. Now I know it's a bit premature, but who do you think will be the outstandings teams in four years' time? My personal oppinion is that an African country will win it for the first time in history. It's the first time the WC will not be played in Europe or America (except for South Korea/ Japan) and I personally feel the countries not used to playing in the southern hemisphere will suffer. In 2010 the big African powerhouses like Nigeria, Cameroon and Senegal will be back and they'll be playing on home soil. Should be very interesting.
The 2010 mascot will be unveiled by our president at the final on Sunday. Don't miss it!

I dont mean to disappoint you, i dont think South African countries will stand any chance against South America countries or European countries. (ie: Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Italy, France)

I didn't say South African countries. Nigeria, Senegal and Cameroon are in central and North Africa. In fact, South Africa are pretty bad and definately don't stand a chance. There's been an African country in every WC quarter final (except this one) so I see no reason they (especially Cameroon) can win it.

Brazil or Argentina will win World Cup in South Africa. European teams have never won world cup outside of Europe and I don't see them reversing that trend.

I think Zidane will come out of his retirement and lead France all the way to the finals against Italy, and it goes to OT just like this year, sometime in OT Materazzi says something to Zidane and Zidane turns around and BOOM drop Materazzi like a sack of potatoes. The referee then delares a KO and Zidane wins the best human ever award...

Argentina or Brazil for the WC 2010? Isn't that what everyone predicted for this world cup? That's the magic of football, you NEVER really know what's going to happen. A lot of players complained of the heat in Germany, let's face it, even if June/ July is in the Southern Hemisphere's winter, it still gets a LOT hotter than the European summer. So if players complained in Germany, they're going to shit in deepest darkest Africa. Besides, Johannesburg (where the final will be played) is almost 2km's above sea-level, so the only things able to breathe up here are mountain goats!
African country for 2010. Mark my words.Wink

Is South Africa ready to host the World Cup?

By the sounds of it, the place is one great orgy of rape and murder, and getting worse by the day.

That website was set-up by someone with nothing else to do. They report on EVERY serious crime happening in South Africa. Our crime rate is still lower than most "developed" countries like Brazil, Russia and Argentina. Is your country crime free? I didn't think so.
